Michael’s 3 year old laptop broke and was no longer in warranty by 3 months! He called Hewlett Packer anyways. They agreed at no charge to have it shipped to them and repaired! Within a couple of days the laptop returned repaired and then they offered to freely extend the expired warranty, just in case, at no charge to us!

For over 5 years, I have been praying for a new couch but we never wanted to put money into a new one. So I dressed up our old couch with odds and ends fabric making and from time to time repairing a slip cover. I admired a couch at Bon Ton’s liquidation sale, but all the couches were sold. The week before one couch I liked was available at 70% off but I thought it was too much money.

The day before the sale ended, I was hauling shelving units we purchased out of the Bon Ton, I noticed a different couch that I liked even better. I remember thinking I would like that couch (yet it had a sold sign). The next day (last day of sale) Michael calls me to tell me there’s a couch available at 90% off. He was there moving more shelves.

I didn’t want to go to see it because I thought it won’t match our living room. I went anyways out of obedience. It was that couch I liked! We purchased a $2700 couch at 90% off for only $270. Now that was affordable and it looks great in our house!

Then I asked God to remove our old couch immediately (we have simply no room in our garage or house to store it). Michael and I felt a leading not to toss it but that it would make a good basement couch for someone. Our friend, Dave, helped Michael move the couch. And wouldn’t you know, Dave and his wife had been looking for a basement couch for their children.

Since February and after 5 phone calls and one letter, I finally had given up on Bank of America. I wanted free business checking and knew it was available from other banks. But BOA kept charging me. So I went to another bank after much prayer. The branch manager of that bank said she was surprised that I couldn’t get free checking from BOA. So it prompted me again to go back to BOA. It turns out not only do I qualify for free checking but Bank of America is crediting us monthly charges dating back to 2002. Approximately $1000 in credits are being restored!

I was designated to find a family vacation rental. A realtor provided several in various price ranges but only the more expensive ones my sister liked. I wasn’t pleased with the price. And given my schedule, I only had an hour to resolve the situation.

I silently told the Lord, we could do better. He prompted me to do my own search. Within minutes I found a beautiful place for $300 less and only 1.5 blocks away from our friend’s place – 5 blocks closer than the one my sister wanted! Everyone in the family agreed this was much better. Even the realtor was surprised and apologized for not noticing it.

We bought $7000 worth of light-industrial shelving units for only $50 and believe either to sell them for profit or anticipate needing them for our business.

At the Healing Rooms Garage Sale, Diane and I prayed for an injured young man. I felt a leading to exhort him in the Lord and stopped to ask if he knew the Lord. He said that he did but explained how he hadn’t been back to church since he recently moved. He was happy to receive the prayer and exhortation to return to fellowship in the Body. I had such boldness that it even surprised me, knowing it was the Lord. Praise God for His boldness!
